Work the Farm
There is never a shortage of things to be done at the farm. Prepping garden space, maintaining the greenhouse, weeding, planting and picking fruits and vegetables. New babies need attention, halter training and taught manners. Horses need groomed, ridden, and stalls need cleaning. The goats have to be moved, fed, and shelters maintained. Chickens, chickens everywhere! Coops maintained, eggs gathered, eggs hatched, and new chicks need a lot of attention. Other structures on the farm have to be maintained too.
Work with Students
Programs are customized to each age group and area of interest. In order to do that we need you to tell the story. Not to worry, we will provide training for everything you’ll need to know. Meet other like minded people for a great time and unforgettable experience. We do much of our educating off premises. Sign up as one of our ambassadors in the classroom, at Ag venues, or community events.
Get More Involved
There are always other opportunities to get involved. Recruiting volunteers, getting our story out into the public, or providing food and drinks to the volunteers. Fundraising is always a substantial part of keeping our outreach going and building educational displays. You can probably think of many other ways to be involved and we’d love to hear all about it!
What should I expect?
The time and duration of our shifts vary depending on the task. We strive to provide flexible scheduling to fit your schedule, so that you can come make an impact when it makes the most sense for you.
You will receive comprehensive training prior to your first shift to ensure you feel comfortable and confident with taking care of the plants and animals.
Volunteers of all ages, backgrounds and experience levels are welcome. Volunteers under the age of 14 are required to have an adult accompany them. Volunteers age 14-18 must have the consent of a parent or guardian and have completed safety training before volunteering.
